Did you know that the way you engage with your child through play can have a huge impact on communication, emotional regulation, and social development? Improve play skills to support goals like:

For caregiver:

Encouraging developmentally-appropriate play
Using language during play to encourage communication
Connecting with your child through play
Using calming strategies

For child:

Tolerating sharing toys with their caregivers
Playing with toys as intended
Involving and imitating their caregiver in play
Naming or requesting toys with gestures, pointing, sounds or single words

In this multidisciplinary service, you’ll benefit from a collaborative approach across professions, including psychology, occupational therapy, and behaviour analysis.

Eligibility

WHO SHOULD REGISTER?

Your child might benefit from this group if they:

Have a caregiver that is able to participate in all sessions
Have emerging communication skills (e.g. pointing, hand-leading)
They can safely participate in a group setting
Can benefit from learning to play near and with peers

WHO IS NOT A FIT?

Your child may NOT be eligible if they:

Displays behaviours that could cause injury or require emergency help
