Is your teen ready to explore their community and gain independence? Combine fun activities with essential transit skills with goals like:

  • Identifying community signs, maps and transit symbols
  • Planning routes to locations like a library, park or ice rink
  • Understanding and practicing public transit etiquette
  • Knowing when and how to ask for help if needed

Prerequisite Skills

Your child is a great fit if they:
  • Ask questions, make comments and understand others
  • Can participate in group sessions for up to 20 minutes without disruption
  • Read and write at a grade 3 level
  • Follow 3-step instructions
This program is not suitable if your child:
  • Is not yet speaking in full sentences
  • Displays behaviours that could cause injury or require emergency help
