Is your teen interested in developing the skills to navigate personal, professional, and romantic relationships? Through interactive activities, teens practice socializing and self-advocacy skills with goals like
- Identifying common interests.
- Self-advocacy within different relationships
- Setting boundaries
- Reading body language and facial expressions
- Soft employment skills
In this multidisciplinary service, your teen will benefit from a collaborative approach across professions, including psychology, social work, and behaviour analysis.
Eligibility
Your teen is a great fit if they:
- Follow complex, multi-step instructions
- Speak in full sentences (e.g., “I don’t want to go to the park”)
- Ask “who”, “what”, “where”, “when”, and “why” questions
- Can focus on a group activity for up to 15 minutes
This program is not suitable if your child:
- Struggles with back-and-forth conversations including asking and answering questions and making comments
- Displays behaviours that could cause injury or require emergency help
