Common Ground Cooperative
Common Ground Co-op is a non-profit charitable co-operative that supports the establishment and long term success of self-employment initiatives for people with developmental disabilities in the form of business partnerships. The business partnerships are owned and operated by adults with developmental disabilities. The Coffee Shed at Surrey Place is one of four successful social purpose enterprises with a double bottom line: financial and social supported by Common Ground. The Coffee Shed offers catering and is a snack bar/kiosk which offers a variety of choices which include, baked goods and sandwiches, complemented by an assortment of beverages, snack foods and wonderful organic, fair trade coffee and tea.
