Surrey Place Centre’s Infancy and Early Childhood Program provides services for infants and children from birth to age six who have or are suspected of having a developmental disability. The program also supports their families and caregivers. For a complete listing of services please refer to Developmental Programs.
We use a family-centered, interdisciplinary team approach. Every child is unique and we place a special focus on working with parents and caregivers to develop a service plan that will meet each child’s needs. The child’s progress is monitored regularly by a primary contact person for the family.
We support children and their families through various transitions including from home to childcare and to school. Our clinicians work closely with parents in creating a transitional plan that will support the ongoing development of the child and we work collaboratively with community professionals on behalf of the child.
Specialized Programs and Services
In addition to our interdisciplinary services, Surrey Place Centre’s Infancy and Early Childhood Program includes city-wide services for three designated provincial programs:

Infant Hearing Program (IHP)

Groups and Workshops
