Single Gifts
For one time donations, you can donate the following ways:
Monthly Gifts
Monthly Giving is a convenient way of making a lasting gift and helps to provide stable revenue month after month. For as little as $5 per month you can become a member of our Circle of Friends and make an immediate difference to the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Should you wish to change or cancel your commitment you can do so at any time.

Tribute & Memorial Gifts
Tribute gifts in the name of a family member or friend is a meaningful way to let them know you care. You may wish to make a gift as a way of saying thanks for an act of kindness, to mark a holiday, or a special occasion such as a new birth, birthday, anniversary or wedding.
A Memorial Gift in the name of a loved one is a meaningful way to honour their memory. It is also a way of letting a bereaved family know that you’re thinking of them during a difficult time.
When you make a Tribute or Memorial Gift of $15 or more, a card acknowledging your gift will be mailed to the recipient. The card will include your name and address. The gift amount will not be identified and receipt for income tax purposes will be issued to you, the donor.

Legacy Gifts
Legacy Gifts or “planned giving” are ways to make a significant gift to a worthy cause while also gaining considerable tax advantages, usually benefiting your estate.
Planned gifts have traditionally been a bequest left in a will, but current tax laws also favour such options as publicly traded securities and life insurance.
You will want to discuss the considerations of a planned gift with your lawyer or financial planner. However, in its simplest form, a bequest in a will could be worded as: To pay to Surrey Place Centre Charitable Foundation in Toronto the amount of $[insert amount] OR [insert figure] % of my estate for the Foundation's purposes.
After providing for the needs of your loved ones, a charitable bequest to Surrey Place Centre would allow you to continue to enhance the lives of clients well into the future.

Gifts of Securities
You can also make a gift of publicly traded securities. When you give a Gift of Securities to Surrey Place Centre, you will be providing hope to many who are affected with developmental disabilities, you will also receive a tax credit for the market value of your gift, and you will not have to pay capital gains tax.

Designate your United Way Contribution
You can designate all or a portion of your donation to Surrey Place Centre Charitable Foundation, even though we are not a United Way member agency.
This applies to payroll deductions or single gifts. On the United Way pledge card simply indicate that you would like to donate all or a percentage of your gift to Surrey Place Centre Charitable Foundation in Toronto. You will also need to provide our Charitable Registration Number, it is 12905 3211 RR0001.
Please note that in order to maintain privacy, donations made through the United Way campaign are receipted by the United Way, not Surrey Place Centre Charitable Foundation.
Employee Gift Matching Programs
Ask your employer about Employee Matching or Giving Programs within your company. Not only will some employers match employee fundraising efforts but they will also match volunteer hours dollar for dollar. A matching gift will not only double your efforts but will help us in sustaining our programs and services.
